The two women who had lost their orientation while hiking on Mount Olympus were found

A search and rescue operation was launched on Sunday night on Mount Olympus when the Fire Service was alerted at 21:00 that two young women had lost their bearings while hiking.

Four firefighters from the Litochoro Fire Service and four firefighters from the Mountaineering Rescue Team (O.O.O.E.D.) of the 2nd EMAK.

The two women, aged 21 and 24, according to the fire brigade, were found and transported to a safe place from the “Prionia” location of Olympus. The operation was completed at 04:45 a.m.
