“With Kyriakos now Greece is a success story”, Metsola told the EPP

Kyriakos Mitsotakis attended the 50th anniversary event of the European People’s Party, as part of his visit to Brussels for the summit.

At the EPP’s 50th anniversary event, reference was made to the debt crisis and Greece remaining in the eurozone – as an example of the EPP’s efforts and the resilience of the EU.

“I am proud that we kept Greece in the eurozone,” said former European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

While European Parliament President Roberta Metsola addressed the Greek Prime Minister from the stage, saying: “With Kyriakos now, Greece is a success story.”
