A raft with 36 foreigners was spotted in the sea area 35 nautical miles south of Kalia Limeni, Crete, in an operation coordinated by the Joint Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (CSRC).
According to the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard, the dinghy was located by an airborne means of the FRONTEX force, while the occupants were recovered by a FRONTEX vessel with the assistance of an adjacent vessel.
The 36 foreigners are being taken to the port of Agia Galini.
