Lambros Houtos and Eleni Sirra are about to get married, after a relationship that seems to be based on their deep connection and shared love of sports and travel. The former international footballer revealed he had to make three different marriage proposals, offering as many rings, before his partner finally accepted his proposal.
As he said, from the beginning of their partnership he felt that Helen was the person he wanted to start a family with. Although both have a strong presence in sport, they keep their personal lives out of the spotlight and make few but thoughtful joint appearances.
Eleni Sirra has had a career in Greek basketball, playing for Olympiakos and Aris, among others, while Lambros Houtos has worn the shirts of Olympiakos, PAOK, Panionios, and Italian clubs Roma and Inter.
They have a very personal relationship with each other.
In their daily lives they enjoy playing sports together, often playing footvolley at their home ground, with the veteran ace stating with humour that his partner is constantly improving, but cannot yet beat him.
The couple are also particularly fond of travelling, with the Ionian Islands among their favourite summer destinations.
