On a television show on OPEN, his father Stavros Floros spoke about his son’s health after his serious accident.
As he said, the young man underwent a five-hour surgery on his right leg to repair serious tendon damage. However, the procedure has not been completed, as he will need another operation on his heel, and a total of two more surgeries are expected. Meanwhile, doctors are trying to reduce the severe pain he is experiencing in his left leg. According to experts, he will remain in hospital for about ten days and then follow a three-week rehabilitation programme. The medical team appears optimistic about the progress of his condition.
In fact, he was especially happy to be declared the winner, considering it a significant moral reward, and expressed his desire to hold the game trophy in his hands.
According to his family, the messages of love and support from the world give him strength to face the difficulties and pain. He seems to have realised that his life has changed, but he remains determined to fight to limit the impact as much as possible and return to as normal a daily life as possible.
