Twenty years after the sacrifice of the heroic Captain Kostas Eliakis, Chania honors his memory.
The figure of the immortal Icarus will have a special place in Chania, as today the unveiling of a new bust took place at the premises of the sports centre that bears his name.
The bust was donated by the Air Force as a minimum tribute to the Captain who fell defending our country.
