Amilios Hilakis spoke about the issue of bribes and whether he has ever asked for personal service, referring to Adonis Georgiades.

The popular actor was a guest on Athina Nega’s Action24 show “Better Slowly” along with his wife Athina Maximou, also an actress and his wife.

As he said – among other things – he does not recall ever having asked for a buffet, noting however that he considers only interventions concerning health issues acceptable.

“I have not asked for one, as far as I can remember. If I have asked at any time, it would have been for a health issue, which is the only buffet I admit to. I mean, when your man has something, you do anything. And I know of cases where people have gone to Adonis Georgiades, who hated him, and they went and begged him: Do something for my mother, my father, my aunt. And, from what I’ve learned, he helped in his honor at a difficult time,” said Emilio Hilakis.

Hilakis said.

Then Athenais Nega agreed, saying: “That’s a fact, I know that too.”

Soon afterwards, Adonis Georgiades republished the relevant excerpt from the show on X, commenting that both he and his colleagues are trying to help those citizens who turn to the ministry because of malfunctions in the health system.

“I would like to thank both Mr. Emilio Chilakis and @athinaisnega for this reference to me yesterday on action24tv. The truth is that I and my entire office always try to serve every fellow human being who asks for our help because somewhere the health care system is giving them a hard time. I have never asked them what they vote for, nor if they even like me only what they need. We intervene humanely and not politically or partisan. But our greatest effort is to build a health care system that will never need the intervention of any minister or official and everything will be solved automatically. We have made great progress in this regard, but we still have a long way to go to get to where our fellow citizens deserve to be. We will get there.”

We will get there.
