Police officers of the DIA team arrested a 52-year-old man in the area of Agios Panteleimon, as a pistol with a magazine and 148 firearm cartridges were found in his possession.
It all happened at noon on Sunday, when during a patrol, police officers spotted the 52-year-old and called him in for a check, and found a pistol with a magazine and six cartridges on him.
A subsequent search was also conducted at his home, where they were found and seized:
- 142 firearm cartridges,
- 80 lines of raw cannabis; and
- a firearm rifle.
The arrested man, with the case file formed against him by the Department of Crime Investigation and Detection of Crimes of Agios Panteleimon for violation of the legislation on weapons and addictive substances, was taken to the competent prosecutor.
