Starting tomorrow, Monday, promotional and graduation exams will begin at high schools across the country.
More specifically, the promotional examinations for the first and second secondary school will be held from May 18, 2026 to June 12, 2026, with June 19 set as the closing date for the release of results.
As for students in the 3rd grade, the final examinations (also called “intramural”) will also be held tomorrow, Monday, May 18, 2026, but until Monday, May 25, 2026, as the Panhellenic Examinations will then be held. The closing date for the release of results for the matriculation examinations is May 27, 2026.
Final straight for high schools
As far as high schools are concerned, the end date for classes is set for Friday, May 27. The Ministry of Education has planned to conduct the prelim and final examinations between June 2-15, 2025.
Panhellenic exams to start at the end of May
It is recalled that the Panhellenic Examinations will begin on May 29, 2026 for candidates of General Lyceums and on May 30, 2026 for candidates of Vocational Lyceums, with the course of Modern Greek Language and Literature and the course of Modern Greek, respectively.
When are the primary and kindergartens closing
Classes for the youngest students will continue through mid-June. More specifically, the school year in the territory’s kindergartens and elementary schools will end on Monday, June 15, 2026.
