Through a special online application from today (Thursday, 14.5.2026) until 18 May, applications for participation in the “Chios Pass 2026” and “Kythira Pass 2026” voucher programme for holidays in Chios and Kythira respectively will be accepted.

The total number of beneficiaries amounts to 3,000 for the “Chios Pass 2026” and 3,600 for the “Kythira Pass 2026” and the implementation of the action for the holiday vouchers will take place in two phases, May – June and September – October, while any unused amounts from the first phase will be transferred to the second.

The financial support amounts to 300 euros for the beneficiaries of the “Chios Pass 2026” programme who will choose Chios as their destination and 250 euros for the beneficiaries of the “Kythira Pass 2026” programme who will choose Kythira.

The programme provides for the issuance of digital debit cards to beneficiaries, which can be used in businesses operating in the accommodation, catering and local transport sectors, subject to certain conditions.

The digital card is used exclusively for transactions with businesses that meet the following conditions:

  • have physical card acceptance terminals (POS),
  • operate in the eligible tourism and transport sectors; and
  • are located in areas of the municipalities of Chios and Kythera with the prescribed postal codes.

In particular, they are issued:

  • Phase 1: “Chios Pass 2026” : 1500 cards, “Kythira Pass Pass 2026”: 1800 cards.
  • Phase 2: “Chios Pass 2026” : 1500 cards, “Kythira Pass Pass 2026”: 1800 cards.
  • Phase 2: “Chios Pass 2026” : 1500 cards, “Kythira Pass 2026”: 1800 cards.

The beneficiaries

The beneficiaries are all adult tax residents of Greece. The following are not considered beneficiaries – beneficiaries of the financial support:

  • Those selected as beneficiaries – beneficiaries under the Social Tourism Programme 2025-2026 of DYPA or those selected as beneficiaries of the Social Tourism Programme 2026-2027 of DYPA regardless of whether or not the above benefits are eventually used,
  • Those selected as beneficiaries – beneficiaries of a related benefit from any other institution for the same period
  • Those beneficiaries who have themselves or their beneficiaries as their main residence in Chios or Kythera.

The programme is part of the framework of state assistance and aims to strengthen domestic tourism, as well as to provide economic and social support to the local communities of Chios and Kythera.

How to apply

The application is submitted by the beneficiary or by a third person specifically authorised by the beneficiary, through the Single Digital Portal (GOV.GR) and in particular through the link vouchers.gov.gr or through the Citizen Service Centres, where the interested parties present any document verifying their identity, identification and signature.

The application is submitted using the personal Taxisnet codes.
