D.A.P.-N.D.F.K. condemns the serious incidents that took place at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the Faculty of Economics and Business.
More specifically, a group of members of the Panspoudasistiki, the student faction of the KKE, suddenly invaded the counting area of the Faculty of Economics, causing tension and trying to obstruct the democratic process. During the incidents, there were attacks and violence against GAP-NDFK cadres and students, resulting in injuries and the transfer of some to hospital.
DAP-NDFK denounces that such practices of violence, intimidation and bullying have no place in Greek Universities and directly offend the democratic functioning of student associations. Free expression and the unhindered conduct of electoral processes are fundamental principles for any democratic university.
Finally, it calls on all student groups and every democratic citizen to clearly condemn such actions and to stand against any form of political violence on campus.
D.A.P.-N.D.F.K. will continue to defend with responsibility and determination democracy, the safety of students and the smooth functioning of university institutions against any attempt to intimidate, intensify and undermine the democratic process.
