According to police, the tragedy that occurred at 12.00 noon in Ilioupolis, when two 17-year-old girls fell together into the void from the roof of a six-storey apartment building at 200 Eleftheriou Venizelou Street, is attributed to suicide.
As a result, one of the minors lost her life, while the second was taken to the Voula Hospital in critical condition, where she is being treated with an intubator.
On the roof of the apartment building, the backpack of one of the girls was found, in which there was a note of the girl herself, in which she explained the reasons for her foolish decision. Police reports say that all indications are that the second girl also jumped into the void with her friend, although no note of her own has yet been found.
As it was learned, one of the girls lived in the apartment building. At some point they went up to the roof together where they jumped into the void. The door to the roof was found locked and officers believe the two 17-year-olds locked it before carrying out their tragic act.
The case is being investigated by the Ilioupolis police station.
