An employee of a business in the area was arrested yesterday afternoon in Thesprotia by police officers of the Igoumenitsa Sub-Directorate for Crime Investigation and Detection for the theft of a large sum of money.
In particular, as revealed by the police investigation, last weekend, the employee broke into a window of the warehouse of the business where he works, from where he removed a large sum of money that had been hidden in a specific place by the owner of the business.
In the course of investigations and after the employee was identified and arrested for his involvement in the case, he subsequently handed over the sum of 146.600 euros that he had stolen and kept in his house, which was returned to the owner.
The arrested man, against whom a felony case for grand theft has been filed, will be brought to the Prosecutor’s Office of Thesprotia.
