This Monday morning, there was an armed robbery at a bank branch in Fthiotida with the attackers opening the safe and taking its contents before getting into their car and disappearing.
More specifically, the robbery took place at around 10:00am in Kato Tithorea, Fthiotida. According to witnesses, a well-dressed man entered the bank and after brandishing his gun, threatened the employees to obey his instructions.
Then his accomplice, who was carrying a Kalashnikov, went down to the vault and emptied it.
After the offenders took sums of money with them, they moved on foot to the square where their third accomplice was waiting for them in the car.
A manhunt has been launched to locate the offenders with police closing the exits.
Authorities are also scrutinising video footage inside and outside the bank to establish the route they took before and after the robbery.
