Police arrested 13 people in an area of eastern Thessaloniki at noon, following an intervention in a health shop in the central square of Thermi.

According to reports, the suspects are seven men and six women, who are allegedly linked to the “Rouvikon” collective. According to the same information, they went to the store demanding that the ownership properly fulfill its obligations towards the workers and that their labour rights be guaranteed.

Following a call to the police, police forces were rushed to the spot and proceeded to arrest the 13 people.

However, the store management did not wish to follow up on the incident or take legal action. Thus, after their identification and if nothing is found against them, the accused are expected to be released.
