According to reports, a 30-year-old man allegedly drove his car into his wife, who is a mother of four children. At the time of the incident, three of the family’s minor children were reportedly in the vehicle.
Passing drivers spotted the woman injured on the side of the road and immediately alerted police and the ambulance.
The 28-year-old woman was taken to Pagni, where she is hospitalized with serious head injuries.
The 30-year-old initially allegedly claimed that the woman opened the door of the vehicle by herself while it was in motion and fell to the roadway.
He was eventually arrested and brought before the judicial authorities, and was charged with attempted murder. The accused was given a deadline to enter a plea on Tuesday.
