The competent authorities revoked the decision to approve the recall and employment of the two Egyptians accused of the incidents in Symi, following an urgent investigation requested by the Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Thanos Plevris.
According to sources at the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum, the two foreigners were classified as persons dangerous to public order and public security, and as a result the relevant administrative act concerning their transfer and employment in the country was revoked.
The same sources say that the process was initiated immediately after information emerged about the case, while stressing that the ministry is proceeding with checks where necessary to protect public order and security.
