New action provides for the creation of 1,000 jobs through the recruitment of unemployed people by private companies operating in the areas of the Fair Transition Territorial Plans in Western Macedonia and Megalopolis, as well as in the neighbouring municipalities of Tripoli, Oichalia and Gortynia. The initiative is part of the Fair Development Transition Programme and aims to support areas affected by the de-lignification process.

The action is addressed to private companies and employers in general who develop regular economic activity in the Region of Western Macedonia, but also in the municipalities of Megalopolis, Tripoli, Oichalia and Gortynia of the Peloponnese Region.

The submission of applications started on 20 April 2026 and will remain open until the available budget is exhausted.

The programme applies to the Regional Units of Grevena, Kastoria, Kozani and Florina, as well as the Municipalities of Megalopolis, Tripoli, Oichalia and Gortynia.

The total budget of the action amounts to €10,726,800. Of this amount, 70% is directed to the Region of Western Macedonia, while the remaining 30% is distributed to the Municipalities of Megalopolis, Gortynia, Tripoli and Oichalia.
