An 85-year-old woman has died in an accident at a house on Phoebou Street in Kifissia.

According to the fire department, the incident occurred at about 18:30 when the elderly woman, who was in a wheelchair, was trapped under unclear circumstances between the elevator chamber and the door.

The 85-year-old woman was pulled dead from the lift after an operation involving 13 firefighters in four vehicles and assisted by volunteers.
