Scenes of tension unfolded on Wednesday morning (06.05) on a bus of the Patissia – Kifissia line, when a man boarded the bus holding sharp objects and started shouting, causing upset and fear among passengers.
According to reports, the incident occurred at around 08:15, at a bus stop near the old people’s home in Maroussi. The man, of Bulgarian origin and aged 39, was holding two blades of scissors about 18 centimetres long, and had aggressive behaviour, shouting and swearing inside the vehicle.
Passengers panicked and police were immediately alerted. The police arrived at the scene and managed to arrest and detain the 39-year-old man, ending the disturbance that had been caused.
