The submission of applications for participation in the Agrotiki Estia holiday, social tourism and culture programmes starts tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5, according to OPEKA. As noted by the Organization, applications for participation can be submitted by interested beneficiaries of the Agricultural Home Account (155,515 LFA/OPEKA beneficiaries) at the KEPs throughout the country until Monday, May 25, 2026.

For the children’s camping programme, applications for participation are submitted within the same period of time via an online application available on the OPEKA website.

The programs for which the application period begins are:

* Social and Medical Tourism: 27.415 beneficiaries, of which 23,702 for social tourism and 2,513 for thermal tourism

* Excursion Programs: 4.900 beneficiaries

* Free Bible Program: 117.000 beneficiaries

* Free theatre ticket program: 5.000 beneficiaries

* Children’s Camp Program: 1.200 children ages 6 to 16 (with an increase in subsidy to children’s camp operations)

Note: In the children’s camp program, children with a disability rate of 50% or more are excluded from the lottery process, as are children who are direct beneficiaries of the LEA as orphan pension recipients.

Specifically for the Social and Medical Tourism programmes, beneficiaries can enjoy up to 12 nights and up to 11 simple baths free of charge, in legally operating thermal springs and hydrotherapy facilities in the municipalities of Istiia – Edipsos and Mantoudiou – Lini – Agia Anna in the North Evia region, as well as in the regional units of Evros, Magnesia, Karditsa, Larissa and Trikala, contracted with the Agency’s programme.

On the North and South Aegean islands and on Evros, beneficiaries can stay overnight with zero private contribution.

How to apply

In order to submit the application form, interested parties should go to the Citizen Service Centres (CSCs) and present the following:

– Any document showing their Social Security Number (AMKA) and that of their dependants (e.g.

– Identity card.

– In the case of OGA pensioners who have been enrolled in e-EFKA and suffer from intellectual disability, DOWN syndrome or cerebral palsy, a Disability Certification Result Notification (“C.A.D.A.”) or other applicable disability certification decision.

– For children’s camps, applications are submitted only online on the OPEKA website.

After the applications have been processed and if the number of interested beneficiaries exceeds the number of beneficiaries, an electronic lottery will be held and priority will be given to beneficiaries who have not been drawn in the last three years.

Recipients are informed of the result of the draw via the OPEKA website (www.opeka.gr) or through the KEPs.

Businesses (accommodation establishments, hydrotherapy centres, spas, tourist agencies, children’s camps, bookstores-publishers and theatres) wishing to participate in the LEA/OPEKA 2026 programmes may submit an application/declaration of participation in the special online application available on the OPEKA website until 25 May 2025.

OPEKA Governor Epaminondas Atsaves said: “OPEKA, with a sense of social responsibility towards the rural population of the country, continues and expands the operation of the Agricultural Income Account (AEA), starting earlier this year with an early start for applications for holiday participation with special provision for more overnight stays in affected areas of North Evia, Thessaly and Evros and with zero participation of beneficiaries in the islands of North and South Aegean and Evros, for the children’s camping programme, which this year includes the first camping season with special care for children with disabilities and orphan families.
