Guest on the show “I live well”, Anna Bezan opened her heart to Michalis Kefalogiannis, talking about the serious health problem she faced and the path to its treatment.

As she described, it all started with a simple visit to her gynecologist, prompted by the thought of having a second child. During the examination, however, an unexpected diagnosis came: ‘She told me things were a bit difficult. I had three cysts that totalled 18 centimetres – not millimetres, centimetres. They were huge. My mind immediately went to the worst, I thought I had cancer. From there, a marathon began.”

She revealed that the situation also caused intense upset for her husband, who found the news difficult to handle and followed a series of tests to establish the exact picture of her health.

She also admitted she had not paid due attention to some warning signs: “I only had a little bleeding and an irregular cycle, but I attributed it to stress or something transient.”

Finally, she talked about the surgery she had to have, explaining that the cysts had to be removed, especially in view of trying IVF due to another issue. “I had surgery and the recovery was relatively easy, with little discomfort for two days. However, the cysts reappeared,” she noted.
