Three people were injured at Araxos airport, in Achaia, when, for reasons still unknown, the ladder they had climbed to cover the aircraft welcome ceremony for journalists gave way.

In the immediate aftermath of the accident, a journalist, a cameraman and a photojournalist were taken by ambulance to hospital.

Media representatives had gone to the airport to cover the arrival of a foreign airline plane, which was to be given the name “Patra”.
