Explosions were heard today in Jerusalem, where alarm sirens sounded, French Press Agency reporters said, after the Israeli military cited missile launches by Iran.
The army said it “detected missiles fired from Iran towards Israeli territory”, adding that anti-aircraft defense systems were activated to intercept them.
Most missiles fired from Iran into Israel are intercepted by Israeli air defenses, but shrapnel or projectiles falling to the ground cause injuries and damage in many cases.
A total of 12 people have been killed in Israel since the start of the war against Iran on February 28.
