A serious incident occurred in Hersonissos yesterday (Tuesday) as a drunk man attacked a British tourist with a crowbar while on a sunbed.
According to cretalive.gr on Tuesday afternoon a man of Bulgarian origin, who was under the influence of alcohol, got up and for an unknown reason, grabbed a crowbar and attacked the 40-year-old tourist, hitting him on the head while the latter was eating his meal.

The 40-year-old British man was taken to hospital with injuries, where he was given first aid.
Based on the same information, the victim of the assault said he did not want the drunk man prosecuted, however the assailant was arrested by officers from the Chersonissos Police Station for dangerous bodily harm.
