A few days before he steps on the Eurovision 2026 stage, representing Greece, Akilas made statements to the TV crews and journalists who met him at the Austrian embassy residence.
More specifically, Akilas said that “I’m looking forward to going to Austria, it’s like I’ve been studying for my Panhellenic exams for the last two years. That’s what I feel like and I’m finally going to take my exams. I’m looking forward to it because I’ve been studying really well.”
“It really makes me so happy that so many people have believed this so much, it gives me a lot of strength to be told because I can see that they really believe it. They give me strength to keep going. Hopefully we can dust off the OAKA.”
“I just found out a little while ago that we’re back up in the predictions and I’m very, very happy. We are not afraid of anyone but it is a year with very strong favourites this year,” Akilas added, also, in his new TV statements.
