The motorcycle driver who allegedly viciously attacked a 22-year-old car driver in Pagrati after an argument over a parking space has been identified. After the attack, he took advantage of the commotion and fled the scene.
The young student was severely beaten and collapsed on the pavement, trying to recover, while passers-by rushed to help her. The incident happened at midday on Saturday, April 25, when the 22-year-old was heading to her friend’s house in the area.
According to her description, it all started with tension over a parking space, which escalated when the offender aggressively intervened. She said she was punched and kicked, resulting in serious injuries.
The attack was stopped thanks to the intervention of a neighbor who heard the commotion and rushed to the scene. The offender then fled and reportedly hid in a nearby apartment building.
The 22-year-old was taken to Red Cross Hospital, where she was found to have a fractured ankle. Her condition requires immobilisation for several days and surgery is being considered.
Authorities have identified the alleged perpetrator and searched for him in the context of an autopsy, but have not been able to locate him. It was also found that the motorcycle he was using belongs to a relative.
