A total of more than €1.1 billion is to be paid to more than 1.7 million beneficiaries between Monday 27 April and Thursday 30 April 2026, as part of the scheduled payments of the e-EFKA and the Public Employment Service, according to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

The first major payment is for the May 2026 pensions. Specifically, on April 27, more than 1.12 billion euros will be credited to more than 1.66 million pensioners for the payment of main and supplementary pensions.

Followed on April 30 by payments that include pension advances under Law No. 4778/2021, lump sums resulting from new decisions, refunds of non-employee contributions, and non-institutional allowances.

In addition, a significant part of the payments relate to benefits of the DPS. These include unemployment benefits and other allowances, subsidised maternity leave, employment programmes and payments to bodies involved in public benefit activities.

In total, the payments cover a wide range of social benefits, supporting thousands of beneficiaries across the country within four days.
