For the first time Dimitris Ungarezos spoke openly about the tension with Grigoris Arnaoutoglou, through the show Buongiorno, attempting to give his own version of what happened in recent days.
The host made it clear that he fully respects Arnaoutoglou’s professional career, however they do not have a personal relationship. At the same time, he expressed his surprise at the harshness of the statements made against him, especially in a subject that – as he stressed – he particularly loves, radio.
Speaking more personally, he revealed that his involvement with radio has helped him through difficult periods in his life, underlining the importance of it to him.
Dimitris Ungarezos claimed that there was no intention to offend Arnaoutoglou, attributing the tension to a misunderstanding and a miscommunication of information from a third party. As he said, some people distorted what was said, creating an image that does not correspond to reality.
He also stressed that he avoided adding “fuel to the fire”, choosing not to reproduce offensive comments and kept a low profile, and even went as far as releasing the audio to prove what was actually said.
In closing, he stressed that he has nothing personal with Arnaoutoglou and that the whole situation was due to a misunderstanding that was blown up for no reason.
