Police investigations are ongoing into the homicide of a young man, aged about 25, who was found dead, with a possible knife wound to the heart, last night in Asymatou Park in Agios Dimitrios.
According to police sources, the victim is the son of a high-ranking ELA officer serving at the GADA who lives near the scene of the incident.
The investigation was undertaken by the Homicide Department of the Organised Crime Division, while the site remains cordoned off by police forces and officers have been on the scene since the first moment collecting evidence on the case.
So far the motive for the crime remains unclear.
