A tragedy almost happened in Corfu as a 15-year-old boy fell from a scaffolding and was injured and taken to hospital immediately.
More specifically, the serious accident happened at noon on Sunday (19.03.2026) when the 15-year-old together with his grandfather were performing work on a building site in Corfu. Then the minor lost his balance, resulting in a fall from the scaffolding and trapped on a balcony and injured.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and began an operation to extricate him and provide first aid until an ambulance arrived.
Firefighters tried hard to extricate the minor. He was then taken to Corfu Hospital where he is being treated without risk to his life.
A case has been marked against the engineer and the legal representative of the company, regarding safety measures taken during work.
In fact, the SEPE (Labour Inspectorate) was also involved in the case to ascertain whether the minor was legally working at the construction site.
