Many questions remain regarding the death of 19-year-old Myrto in Kefalonia. As the authorities’ investigation continues, new evidence is being made public while movements in a suspicious chat room are coming into the frame.
The three young men involved in the case have been taken into custody while the conclusion of the coroner and the results of the toxicology tests are expected to shed light on the exact cause of the young girl’s death.
“The police have proven and it has been recorded in the preliminary investigation that the girl went there of her own free will, went up the stairs, entered the room, used. There were some other moves with a chat too suspicious with an elderly man. There’s video. We are waiting for it.”
Theodore Vasilakopoulos, president of EODY and professor of pulmonology, also spoke to Mega about 19-year-old Myrto, who said: “Whenever we see a person who is not well, the first move we make is to call the ambulance and afterwards, if we know, we can offer help.”
“The crucial thing is whether the death was caused by their own action to go for manslaughter or not,” noted criminal lawyer Theodore Karagiannis for his part.
“Always cases that get the limelight and have such a social impact and a very bad social model have a much stricter treatment at the beginning,” the lawyer concluded.
The revelation of George Kaliakmanis
In a revelation that caused a sensation, on Saturday 18/4, the honorary President of the Union of Police Officers of South-East Attica, George Kalliakmanis, made a revelation regarding the death of 19-year-old Myrto in Argostoli.
First of all, speaking to STAR, he stressed that the drug drop that broke the camel’s back was the death of the young girl, as the problem on the island has been a big one for several years.
However, what is shocking was that “there was a plan to take the girl into prostitution”, a plan that did not materialise due to Myrto’s tragic end.
