Schools are expected to open tomorrow, Monday 20 April, after the Easter break and pupils will be back at their desks. In 11 days’ time the next public holiday, in particular May Day, is on Friday 1 May, followed by a second three-day holiday, Holy Spirit Day, on Monday 1 June.
The Ministry of Education has already announced the schedule for the end of classes and the holding of exams in secondary schools.
Specifically, in high schools, the end of classes was set for Wednesday, May 27 and the proposed schedule for exams was set from Tuesday, June 2 to Monday, June 15, 2026.
As for high schools, the end of classes was set for Friday, May 15, 2026.
Promotional examinations for students in the first and second secondary schools will be held from Monday, May 18, 2026 to Friday, June 12, 2026. Friday 19 June 2026 has been set as the final date for issuing results.
The final examinations for students of the third grade of high school will be conducted from Monday, May 18, 2026 to Monday, May 25, 2026, with a final date for the release of results on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
