Three arrests for drug possession and trafficking cases in Attica were made on Thursday, April 16, by officers of the Narcotics Sub-Division of the DEAOE.

These were two Greeks, 29 and 21 years old, and a 39-year-old foreign woman, who were arrested in various areas of Piraeus, after the use of information.

As announced by the ELAS, yesterday afternoon the 39-year-old woman was found in a car in possession, with the purpose of trafficking, a package of cocaine with a gross weight of 1 kilogram and 120 grams, which she had obtained earlier from the 21-year-old, who was acting on behalf of the 29-year-old.

At the same time, the 21-year-old was arrested for possessing and on behalf of the 29-year-old, for the purpose of trafficking, a package of cocaine with a gross weight of 50 grams.

Following investigations were carried out in a cafeteria owned by the 29-year-old, in the home of the 21-year-old, as well as in a house used as a storage area for drugs (covatza), where the 29-year-old and the 21-year-old jointly possessed, for the purpose of trafficking, cocaine with a gross weight of 26 kilograms and 228 grams, processed cannabis (chocolate) with a gross weight of 80.9 grams and raw cannabis with a gross weight of 40.9 grams.

In total, during the investigations, the following were found and seized:

– 27 kilograms and 398 grams of cocaine,

– 121.8 grams of cannabis,

– precision electronic scales,

– 56,080 euros,

– 2 private cars,

– 2 private two-wheelers,

– 4 mobile phones and

– a pair of keys.

As noted by the ELAS, the illegal profit of the accused from drug trafficking is estimated to exceed 570,000 euros.

The arrested persons, who – in some cases – have been accused in the past of various offences such as criminal organization, robbery, drug law violations and who have been subjected to restrictive conditions, are being taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
