A shocking image was seen by passers-by on the morning of Friday 17 April in Corinth, when a woman’s body was found floating in the waters of the Isthmus Canal.
According to initial information from Korinthostv.gr, it is a young girl aged about 18-19 years old, whose details remain unknown so far.
The authorities were immediately mobilized, with Coast Guard forces operating at the site to retrieve the body, in the area of Posidonia Corinth. At the same time, an ambulance of the ambulance service is on standby for her transfer.
After the recovery, the body is expected to be transferred for autopsy-necropsy, in order to determine the exact cause of death, while the identification process is underway.
