A serious traffic accident occurred on Thursday afternoon on the Zakynthos-Volimona highway, at the height of the Pastra junction, when a 19-year-old man riding a two-wheeler, under unclear circumstances, lost control of his bike, crossed into the oncoming traffic and crashed into an adjacent wall.
Police forces and an ambulance arrived at the scene, which picked up the young man and transported him to Zakynthos Hospital with serious injuries, according to ERT.
The causes of the accident are being investigated by the Zakynthos Traffic Police.
