The arrest of two men, 36 and 23 years old, accused of unnecessary shooting and weapons law violations, was made by officers of the Hersonissos Police Department.
As it turned out, during the evening hours of M. Saturday (11.04.2026) in an area of the Municipality of Hersonissos, unnecessary shots were fired. The preliminary investigation of the Hersonissos Police Department identified the two persons, who were arrested today during the morning hours. Indeed, police investigations were carried out at their homes, with the assistance of the Heraklion Crime Prevention and Suppression Team. During the investigations, a total of 2 pistols and 2 magazines, 100 cartridges, 18 cartridge cases, 18 cartridge cases, a crossbow for firing arrows and a metal bat were found and seized. The preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Hersonissos Police Department.
