Two people were arrested yesterday at noon in the centre of Thessaloniki, after a 19-year-old boy reported that he was being blackmailed.
According to the police, these are 29-year-old and 19-year-old men who were reported to have approached the young man under the pretext of a debt, demanding sums of money (100 and 200 euros). When he refused, they attempted to take his mobile phone, while while trying to escape they managed to snatch his jacket.
A case file has been formed against the arrested persons and they are expected to be brought before the competent prosecutor.
