The death of the unfortunate 19-year-old girl who was found dead in the early hours of Tuesday, April 14, in the central square of Argostoli, in Kefalonia, remains a mystery.
Police authorities have made two arrests, while one more person is wanted as part of the investigation. The two arrested men had turned up earlier at the police station, where they testified about the circumstances of the tragic incident.
According to the evidence so far, they were with the 19-year-old before her death, which puts them at the centre of the investigation, according to kefaloniamagazine.gr. The charges facing the two arrested men relate to endangerment, while authorities are continuing intensive investigations to fully unravel the causes and responsibilities surrounding the case.
It is recalled that at about 04:40 in the morning, the ambulance was alerted as the young girl was found lying down and unconscious opposite a health shop in the area.
Answers to the exact circumstances of her death are expected to be provided by autopsy and toxicology tests.
