The 14-year-old who was seriously injured in the arm when the firecracker he was holding exploded managed to escape amputation.
The incident happened on Easter Sunday afternoon in Menidi.
Specifically, the incident took place outside the Holy Church of St Vlassi, when the minor tried to light the firecracker, which exploded in his hand, causing serious injury. There, the minor, as his mother said, found the firecracker, tried to throw it and it exploded in his hands.
He was immediately taken to Aghia Sophia Children’s Hospital.
The child, as reported on Tuesday morning 14/4 by Mega’s show “Society Hour MEGA” underwent surgery and finally the doctors managed not to amputate his arm. However, he will need special treatments to keep his fingers functional.
