Police authorities in Xanthi have arrested two men for attempted manslaughter after a bloody epidemic involving one injured man.
The two men were arrested and charged with the offences of attempted manslaughter, direct complicity in attempted manslaughter and violation of the law on weapons.
This was preceded by a verbal incident via a telephone call between one offender and the victim.
Then the second offender transported the first offender to an area of the city, where he met with the deceased and, in an argument, wounded him with a knife.
The victim was taken to the University General Hospital of Alexandroupolis where he is being treated.
A knife was found and seized in the possession of the first arrested man as a means of committing the above-mentioned criminal act.
The arrested persons will be brought to the Prosecutor of the Xanthi District Court, while the preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Department of Prosecution and Detection of Crimes of Xanthi.
