A traditional Naxian feast for Easter Sunday was put on by Tasos Iordanidis and Zoe Kronaki for ERT1 viewers. Their guest was Thalia Matika, who spoke to the camera of “Kalimera Epidame” and could not fail to mention her long-standing relationship with her colleague.
“Thank you for this wonderful table. I’ve basically come straight from Athens for this food, for these dishes,” the actress said.
“Bless you, I thought you had come for me,” Tasos Iordanidis replied to her with a smile.
“Easter is usually spent with the family, because the theatre season is ending, so it’s a good opportunity when you’re not performing on Saturday, Sunday, I don’t know, or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, etc., to go away, to take a trip. So we’ve done quite a few trips abroad or to islands in Greece,” Thalia Matika said.
When asked about how she sees her husband in the role of presenter, Thalia Matika commented:
“I will say for his daughter how he sees him, I will not say for me. Naya said to him, ‘Dad, whatever you leave professionally, and if you are tired, I want you to keep only the show’. You brought out an aspect of Tasos’ personality that I really never expected to see. It started with “Daddy” in a more sheltered context, because it wasn’t live, which I think Tasos made his mark on. And then with you something happened two years ago, Zoe, I don’t know!”
