The consignment carrying the Holy Light from Jerusalem has arrived at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport, and in a few hours it will be distributed throughout the country by 18 flights. The Holy Light was received at the airport by the President of the Parliament Nikitas Kaklamanis, a troop of the armed forces which paid tribute, while the reception was attended by the Philharmonic Band of Markopoulou which played the national anthem, the Greek Scout Corps, the Pontian Association of Lavrio with the icon of the Resurrection, the Association of Asia Minor of Rafina, etc.
The Speaker of the Parliament said that the Holy Light of our faith under any circumstances always defeats the darkness.
