A patient’s post describing her experience in the emergency room of the KAT was republished by Health Minister Adonis Georgiades.

“I was touched by this post of a patient unknown to me, but who experienced the change in the emergency department and was not afraid to share it with all of us,” Georgiadis said, quoting the experience described by Ms Maria-Eleni.

The patient’s post about her experience at the KAT

“If things are lived experience and the sum total of small personal encounters with the larger System (I personally don’t entirely agree with this thought, that is, that our perception of things determine how things are) yet if this is the case, I made an urgent visit to the emergency room of the KAT today. I was blown away by the cleanliness, organisation, service, knowledge of the doctors and the kindness of everyone but everyone in there/ especially the man at the security type entrance was so informative and kind that I was in tears. An isolated specimen am I; lucky in my misfortune? Generally it sucks but today before Holy Week they said they were going to change everything like a rehearsal Genereale? I honestly don’t know what the other days are like. What I saw today and another recent experience I had again made me feel like something has changed. Slowly? Slowly. I, for one, was completely satisfied. And I generally respect any man who tries to do his job. May we all be well and if we happen to fall, the CAT has something to offer us that I didn’t find in the private doctor today.”
