Increased clouds, local rain and occasional thunderstorms will occur today, with the most intense phenomena expected mainly in northern and eastern Greece, according to the EMY forecast.

More specifically, according to the EMY forecast, the weather will be more unstable in central and eastern Macedonia, Thrace and in places in western Macedonia, while from noon onwards light local showers or occasional thunderstorms will occur in Thessaly, eastern Sterea, Euboea and eastern Peloponnese, mainly in the mountains.

In the rest of the country, a few clouds are forecast, partly increasing at noon and in the afternoon in the mainland mountains and in Crete, where thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.

In fact, a little snow will appear in the mountains of eastern Macedonia and Thrace, while winds will blow in the east from eastern directions from 3 to 4 Beaufort, in the Dodecanese up to 5 Beaufort and in the west variable or southerly in the Ionian Sea, also up to 4 Beaufort.

The temperature will not change significantly, reaching in the northeast up to 13 to 14 degrees Celsius, in most areas 15 to 18 degrees and locally in the mainland, Crete and the Dodecanese up to 19 to 20 degrees Celsius.

Attica

A few clouds, which will become thicker in places from midday and in the afternoon, mainly in the north and east, where there is a possibility of light local rain or occasional thunderstorms.

Winds will blow from an easterly direction at 3 to 4 Beaufort.

The temperature will range from 10 to 18 to 19 degrees Celsius.

Thessaloniki

Springy clouds with local showers for most of the day and gradual improvement from late afternoon.

Winds will be east – southeast 3 to 4 Beaufort, while in the afternoon and evening hours they will shift to south – southeast with the same intensity.

The temperature will range from 9 to 16 to 17 degrees Celsius.

Macedonia – Thrace

Increasing clouds with occasional local rain or thunderstorms, initially in central and eastern Macedonia and gradually in the rest of the regions. From late afternoon improvement is expected in Thrace and gradually in the rest of the regions. A little snow will fall in the mountains of eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

Thessaly, Eastern Sterea, Evia, Eastern Peloponnese

Precipitations, partly increasing with light local rain or occasional thunderstorms from midday, mainly in the mountains.

Winds will blow from the east at 3 to 4 Beaufort.

The temperature will range from 9 to 17 to 18 degrees Celsius and locally in the south up to 19 degrees Celsius.

Cyclades – Crete

In the Cyclades clouds are forecasted, partly cloudy. In Crete there will be a few clouds, increasing in places mainly in the afternoon and afternoon, with the possibility of occasional thunderstorms in the mountains.
