A serious traffic accident occurred today at noon on Mikis Theodorakis Avenue (formerly Lagada Street), in Thessaloniki. Shortly after 15:00, a 65-year-old woman was swept away by a passing car in the exit stream while attempting to cross the road, resulting in serious injuries.
An ambulance of the ambulance service immediately rushed to the scene, which transported the injured woman to Papageorgiou Hospital, where she is in a critical condition. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, while the causes of the accident are being investigated by the competent authorities.
