As of today, the Fuel Pass platform is now accessible to all citizens, regardless of the expiring digit of their VAT number. The process is for fuel subsidy for the months of April and May 2026, with the deadline for submission finally expiring on April 30.

Who are the beneficiaries

The beneficiaries of the aid are all natural persons and freelancers who are tax residents of Greece. The income criteria, based on the 2024 tax return, stipulate that the family income must not exceed €25,000 for unmarried persons and €35,000 for married persons or those in a civil partnership. This limit is increased by €5,000 for each dependent child. For single-parent families in particular, the income limit is €39,000, with a corresponding increase for each child after the first.

The vehicle requirements

Each applicant may only register one vehicle or motorcycle, in which they must have full ownership, joint ownership or be a lessee through a lease agreement. The basic requirement for the application to be approved is that the vehicle must be in circulation, be insured and have no outstanding road tax arrears.

It is worth noting that the digital card option offers a higher amount of aid.

Specifically, for car owners in island and remote areas (such as Crete, North and South Aegean, Ionian Islands, etc.), the subsidy amounts to €60 with a digital card and €50 with a deposit in an account. For the rest of Greece, the corresponding amounts are 50€ and 40€.

As for motorcycle owners, the aid in island regions is set at €35 with the card and €30 on the account, while for the rest of the country the amounts are set at €30 and €25 respectively.

The process is simple and only requires your TaxisNet codes and bank account details if you choose to deposit cash. Don’t forget that the platform will remain open for everyone until the end of the month.
