On the “Breakfast@star” show, Kostas Falelakis spoke about how he deals with the fact that he is recognized more as an LGBT person than as an actor, and about his long-standing relationship with Minas Hadjisavvas.
“I’m an atheist, but I have a lot of respect for people’s faith,” Costas Falelakis said at first.
Costas Falelakis went on to say, “Acting found me completely by accident… In the kind of theatre I identified, there was no element of conceit. And my relationship with Minas Hadjisavvas also defined my theatrical behaviour.
You identify with Mena’s ethos and his choices, so mine were similar. I’ve knocked on doors for roles. I still do it now and I don’t think it’s a bad thing.”
Costas Falelakis also said, “I have not been labelled. I recognize that I’m better known as an LGBTQ person. I accept that and it pleases me immensely. I love it. I’ve always wanted a child. But Minas couldn’t handle that and I respected that.
One loss that has cost me dearly is his… I watch reruns of the shows he’s been in to admire him once more. I’ve been in a new relationship for four years now. I’m thinking of a civil partnership.”
