Shocking story of a two-year-old girl who was savagely attacked by a dog, resulting in very serious injuries to her face and head. The incident happened yesterday afternoon and the child was rushed to Aghia Sophia Children’s Hospital.
The little girl was initially admitted to the Neurosurgery Clinic and was immediately taken to the operating room. The operation, lasted more than four hours, as the injuries, particularly to the scalp and cheeks, were deep and extensive.
During her hospitalisation, the child’s condition was deemed to be very serious. She was intubated, experienced convulsions and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit.
Today, however, the news is encouraging. The two-year-old showed rapid improvement, was intubated and remains under close medical observation, with doctors expressing cautious optimism about her health.
According to reports, the dog that attacked the child belonged to the family.
