Nikos Plakias, in a post on X, attempted to clarify the situation surrounding the so-called “video trial”, noting that it is a procedure unrelated to the main trial currently underway in Larissa. As he claims, this case concerns the untimely recovery and possible deletion of visual material in the first days after the accident, while he stresses that the three videos that have come to light have not been questioned as to their authenticity by the lawyers present. At the same time, he says that the recently handed over footage does not confirm scenarios concerning illegal cargo or flammable substances, but relates to the configuration of the site after the collision – elements which, he says, have already been included in the case file for years. He speaks of misinformation and “narratives” being recycled, calling for full access to all available evidence to be given to relatives in order to end, he says, their suffering.

In a post he made on Platform X, he wrote:

“Let’s put the video case in order for a moment because I see that too many people are confused by the constant flow of information surrounding the controversial trial ( which I stress has nothing to do with the main trial that started in Larissa two weeks ago)

The trial about the videos was about not recovering them in the first days from the investigator as well as deleting some of them .

Sure enough, after two years the three videos of the commercial course were found which no one ever found !!!

At the adjournment of the trial last week, the lawyers were given the first part of the material in the possession of the forensic experts.

Of course they found neither cargo nor flammable material.

They did find material relating to the configuration of the site in the first hours after the collision.

And they started ( since the cargo narrative is bucketing down again )to say how critical the video data is for the crash and not to waste the whole trial process .
Of course for your knowledge it is not something we don’t know and we will find out now as there are these videos and photos in the case file for three years now .

If you look carefully at the file you will see them .

Maybe not all of them but the main and key ones will be seen.

So let’s stop this misinformation and the constant flow of false news, just for the sake of publicity and not collapsing the narrative at the expense of the relatives .
